Well i want to send congrats to Imperial Hero team ;D..for simplify the World Of Warcraft:Wrath of the Lich King hihih.great job guys ;) ;D.I would change a bit the names of locations like:
"The Ayarr Empire is surrounded by impenetrable natural barriers. To the west – by Sea of Sorrow. To the east – by Dark Wood. To the north – by Ice Mountains. To the south – by Desert of Despair."So from what i understood Imperial Hero is a small part from WOW map in Imperia Online version:)

very good marking. thank the entire team of IO and I think that if they want to think about another game in the Dungeon Siege 2
+1 Karma

Hm... didn't get that... I guess WoW has exactly the same names somewhere? Oh well... I guess a lot of games and fantasy books would have them, mountains are icy/snowy usually, forests are dark (mysterious), deserts are desperate locations and seas usually bring a lot of sorrow to sailors.. (there was a very good reason for the Black sea to be called Black by the ancient mariners...)

Crafting system reminds me somewhat of Lord of the rings online (although lotro is an absolute rip-off of wow) , while mercenaries remind me of hero/henchman system from Guild Wars.
-
And warrior skills at lvl 15 are from diablo 2. :)
-
Diablo 2? ??? But this game doesn't resemble it at all, I'm sure the designers never even saw that game... 8)
-
im sure it did
anything fantasy is bound to hit other games. there are so many of them!
-
lol get serrios.the game its a replica of last WoW.LOL poly your pic is from Wow to? =))) that creature its from zigurat temple:P in north island.=))

Never played WoW, and no. These critters predate Warcraft 2 if I'm not mistaken, and have never been featured in any game.

This is a topic that I feel I must answer to, because I'm mainly involved in the game's text writing.
The Empire's name is as unique as a finger print or a DNA.
In fact, the Nomad Invasion participants who had spent some time reading my AARs might find this name in some of them.
As for the rest of the names, like my boss said, there are many fantasy stories that use similar names.
And they are so many that they have already been carved in people's minds as a constant phrases, describing more the author's feeling's and state of mind, rather than the geographical properties of the place.
So, in respect of making people comprehend and remember the zone's names easier, I have decided that it would be much better to work with names that are quite common and understandable.
That way, in my opinion, they feel themselves in much more familiar environment.
And the fact that there are people who could find any resemblance between Imperial Hero and the biggest franchise in the world of gaming... can only flatter me and all my colleagues, involved in this most ambitious project.

I would not worry about that.

hmm, to me crafting reminds of Lineage 2, same as the grinding basis (but without open pvp)
-
for me it reminds me of tetris....all the pretty colours!! ???

It's awesome...but Imperia Online remain my favourite game :)

Awww come on guys pay these guys abit more respect them comparing hero to WoW, I wouldnt even compare Connect 4 or Guess Who to WoW :/

Yeah but I do have to admit that it reminded me of WoW. Although this game is much more crafting oriented, I was an alchemist/herbalist in WoW so that`s kinda the profession I miss. ;D
The game is interesting and everything but it needs and I know it will have some changes. ;)

Later there will be more professions and I have a feeling you might be able to be herbalist again ;)
You know, Rome was not created in a day :)
