Name for Mercs

I hired a Warrior Merc and we are fighting perfect together. I am healing him and increase his health, our enemies mostly choose him for battles, but I have a good crafted staff now and can hit these enemies very serious... Everything looks perfect and I am thinking now to hire a Ranger. In the battle calculator my merc is called .... MERC.... How will be called my second Merc? Also Merc? And if I have 5 or 6 of them latter will they all be called Merc? As we are fighting together and are a good team, I would suggest to permit as to give names to our Mercs... I want to know which one and how fought and who is a hero and who is just a balast in the team...
BTW, can we disband them?

Sure custom Mercenary's names would be nice addition to the game. Or at least different default names for mercs like Slaughter, Butcher, Heartseeker, Braineater

And I have never tried, but looks like it is possible to get rid of your merc. There is large Dismiss button in the mercenary's equipment menu.
