The game has slowed to a crawl on my PC today. The stores are loading so slowly I've had to quit playing. Is anyone else having similar problems?

what is your browser? have you got the last version of the flash player (10.2)? are you downloading something?
in my account everything is normal...

I'm using Firefox 5. Haven't upgraded to FF 6 yet but it only came out a couple of days ago.
I think it has to be the game. Everything else on my PC is running fine. In fact, last time I tried to log in, all I got was a blank screen and a message which said "url not found on this server". I've logged in again now, but the game is still too slow to play. I've been playing several weeks now and haven't had this problem before.

can you try other browsers ( IE, google chrome vs. ) maybe firefox cause this problem or your cookies cause :) i think

i use firefox too, and i have no problems, maybe have you got the newest version of flash player?
it has problems with IH as is explained in this quote:
The last Flash Player version - 10.3.83.5 - has certain compatibility issues with Imperial Heroes.
Temporary problems with loading one, several or all the game screens may occur.
Until we fix the issue, we ask you not to upgrade your Flash Player to this version.
Imperial Hero Team hopes to solve the problem pretty soon and apologizes for any inconvenience we have caused to our players.

Aha, that is the problem :) I installed the latest version of Flash yesterday.
The game seems to be working okay this morning, did you fix the problems yet? Otherwise, is it possible to deinstall the latest version of Flash and go back to an earlier version until you fix it?

Yes, it`s possible.
Please, follow these steps:
1. Uninstall. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
2. Install an earlier version of flash. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html (as robiolastex recommended, try using version 10.2 of flash).

Do you happen to know of a PD program which can unzip a .zip file? The earlier flash version is in zip format and Winzip wants me to pay $30 for the upgrade.

I suggest you to use 7-zip. 7-zip is totally free and is published under GNU LGPL license. It will unzip the flash player.

Meh, the game is still really slow. Maybe I didn't install properly or something. I'll have to try again, but I can't be bothered tonight.

I installed once again. I think last time I made the mistake of only uninstalling the player not the plugin. It seems to be working full speed again! Before, a single blow in combat would take about 30 seconds at any speed, now it's back to multiple blows in a fraction of a second, so I think I did it right this time. Thanks once again for your help maeof :)
