Questions / Re: Dispose of the Leader of Red Hand.
« on: November 09, 2009, 12:34:36 AM »
Yeah, that's a tough one. I wasn't able to do it so far and I had my lvl 19 hero and 2 mercs, lvl 18 and 19 warriors.

I'm wondering about the reward though - it says I'll get 800 gold, 800 exp and 20 diamonds! Is this true or is it like some quests where I actually get half the listed amount?

Suggestions / Traveling

Is it possible to implement travel-planning to non-adjacent provinces?

What I mean is - if I want to travel to a province that is 2-3 provinces away from my current location (I.e. traveling from Grunar to Barren Rocks province), currently I have to first go to each closer province (in the aforementioned case that would be Sonoria Domain) so I could click and travel to the next province closer to my destination, or to the goal itself. What I would like is to be able to click on my desired destination and for the game to then essentially "click" to travel forward instead of me (so I click to go to Barren Rocks while I'm in Grunar and the game skips the stop in Sonoria Domain and just adds the extra time to my overall traveling duration).

Suggestions / Re: Experience for kills when you lose battles
« on: November 08, 2009, 01:15:14 PM »
I see some point in your arguments. However, I feel that if I bested more than half of the combatants on the battlefield and someone struck me on the head from behind, I still might have learned something - how to defeat enemies straightforward and also to pay attention to my back :P

And as for this being exploited by going after tougher enemies - I don't think this would be possible, since in these kind of battles you are unlikely going to kill even one of the combatants before they strike you down. My suggestion was related to battles which are well inside a character's level capabilities.

And I was thinking of something along the line of counting a TOTAL victory as a bonus, like another monster kill, in terms of calculating the experience gained. So, if you're fighting 5 monsters and you kill them all, then you get experience like you killed 6 of them. If you kill 4, you get experience just for those. To balance it out with the current system, it would probably be best to reduce the overall experience gain just by a bit, to justify this "victory bonus".

I am satisfied with the system for the most part, but I really feel an improvement similar to this one would benefit the gaming experience and the plausibility of the story.

then maybe we should gain only part crafting points when you craft common item and you have over 300 CP?

What I suggested is nothing like this because in the case you mention, you are such an expert that you can't learn anything from that. However, I believe that in combat you can ALWAYS learn from failure...

Questions / Re: Healer Tiers
« on: November 08, 2009, 01:01:28 PM »
I read those. I asked the question because the answer listed in the "tips of the day" only mentioned the possibility of having a higher tier shop in a lower tier province, so I wanted to make sure if this, the "other" way around, was an intentional thing. Thanks for the answers :)

Questions / Healer Tiers
« on: November 04, 2009, 12:15:52 AM »
Hi, I'd like to know if it was intentional to place a T2 healer in a T3 province? (Bunar province)

Also, I was in a T3 province yesterday (don't remember which one), and there were only T2 mercenaries available for hire in the tavern...is this supposed to be like that as well?

Thanks in advance,
Tacheron

Suggestions / Experience for kills when you lose battles
« on: November 04, 2009, 12:07:59 AM »
The topic title is pretty straightforward - I think we should be awarded XP for kills even in battles which we have lost overall. Gold shouldn't be awarded (since there wouldn't be time to pick it up when you're in full retreat :P), but I don't see why we shouldn't get the experience award if we kill i.e. 3/5 enemies...
