Questions / Re: Compensation for "maintenance"
« on: August 14, 2012, 03:09:13 PM »
The only stat the cache keeps for every item is the time and date it got there. Server down or not, the only way that the cache wouldn't "count" the 2 downtime days would be for the server's calendar to be set 2 days back.

Truth be told, a lot of people lost items in their cache, and it was by all means due to game fault. They should be 100% compensated. I don't know how feasible this is, though...

Well, I entered t5 last week, and after a bit of searching I found out that the fastest way to get to level 45 is farm my life out of The Dark Cult Monastery. Then I saw I was dropping around 5 spirit potions and 2 health potions in each fight, so I thought I could provide some of the remaining ones to my alt and my guildmates. Well, for the last days my routine involves the following:

Click Hero. Click Cache. Click page 5. Click page 7. Click page 9. Click page 11. Click page 13. [...] Click page 37. Think: "Oh, health potions!" Start sending health potions to Bag. [...] Empty bag to outpost stash. Notice you need x more to fill it. Click Hero. Click Cache. Click page 5. Click page 7. Click page 9. Click page 11. Click page 13. [...] Click page 45. Think: "Oh nice, more health potions!" Start sending health potions to Bag. [...] Fill outpost stash. Logout. Login Alt. Empty outpost stash. Logout. Login Main. Click Hero. Click Cache. Click page 5. Click page 7. Click page 9. Click page 11. Click page 13. [...] Click page 46. Think: "Oh well, health potions." Start sending health potions to Bag. [...] Fill outpost for guildmates.

After a couple of days, I'm like "YOU GODDAMN HEALTH POTS, WHERE ON EARTH DID YOU HIDE AGAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN??!?!" :(

Please, please, oh please, add a little box in hero cache so we can just type the page we want and click "go" or something, instead of clicking "Next Page" until the end of Time... *UNDECIDED*

Market / Re: unusual bid...

Even if they're not fake, there could be some logic behind this. I think the guy was stocking as many ap as he could to run through 60-65 and equip any high quality t7 items he had as soon as possible, maybe to avoid losing as much fame as possible, or to be looted as fewer times as possible. It's true that he loses more ap than he buys, but the stockpiled ap would be a lot more when he decided to tier up to 7.

Still, it's not someone I know, so I can't tell for sure.

What will we deploy on August 22nd, 2011:
Re-balancing of many of the existing modules:

1. Generated Action Points amount in Tiers 6 and 7 is increased -  36 and 48 per day respectively.

I can only assume it was indeed implemented. :)

You gain 1 ap per hour (or 1 per 45 min in t6 and 1 per 30 min in t7), to a max of 12 (or 48 if you're premium). Then you just stop gaining ap per hour, you DON'T lose any additional ap you may get by any other means (such as buying 24 additional per day, quest rewards, 12 free ap per day up to level 15, 500 ap after you reset your hero). This said, it's pretty easy to gather up 200 ap. As Tania said, he could have just bought 24 ap each day for 8 days.

I would also suggest that you use your native language category, if there is one, since your translated texts tend to require mental skills to be understood. ???

I can confirm that War of the Lords step 1 asks for enemies in general to be killed. I guess it has to be checked, but I don't think that would be possible before Monday.

First of all, I'm under the feeling that you're somehow insulted by my previous post. If that's true, it was by no means intented.

Now, there are 2 ways to play this game. One is to level up, complete the storylines, basicly play in "single-player" mode, where (excluding trading) you only interact and fight with the game generated enemies. Second way is the competitive one. The player basicly picks a tier, lock their XP there and max their capabilities, in order to compete against other players (PvP) for castles, guild outposts, fame, etc. I won't say any one of the two is better than the other, people that belong in the 2nd category though, tend to have stronger gear, more solid fighting tactics and better allocated stats. In my personal opinion, competitive play requires more tactical thought, more "skill", if you'd prefer the expression, and ofcourse more resources.

So, to answer your question, what I call "decent" is people that use their given resources in the best of their ability.
Let me explain. A rare (blue) level 49 Dark Follower Archer (the base enemy with the highest agility and dexterity multipliers in tier 5) has 196 Agility and 196 Dexterity. Your 2nd screenshot shows me that the guy you linked is a Dark Mystic, since his stats are similar to the ones of his portrait, thus unbuffed. Using level 7 Blur and Poison Cloud on that monster lowers its stats to 146 of each. 425 Agility offers nothing more than, let's say 245, against 146 dexterity. since his chance to evade is capped at 75% - 1 out of 4 attacks will hit no matter if your agility is infinite. His 120 dexterity will still miss half the time against 146 agility. So, by putting 120 points on his dexterity, rather his agility, he'd max his chance to hit too (75%, or 3 our of 4) and also raise his critical chance by 12%. He'd deal more damage, finish fights faster, use less spirit in fights for heal spells, use less spirit potions between fights and thus make his life easier. That would be more of a decent mystic to my eyes, using the same resources he now does, but in a better way.

P.S.2: Using diamonds is by no means cheating. It's the way the company that created this game can keep it up and running.
