Texts / Text in Haroda quest has variable names and makes no sense
« on: February 16, 2010, 04:30:35 AM »
I have a special assignment for you, warrior. And, judging by your background, you are perfectly suited for it. Local militia is fending off the enemy in STR_DUNGEON_TITLE_0 for quite some time now. So far they have no luck. I think you can help them. Kill 15 of Medium Hides and report back to me.

Gold : 160 - 280
Action Points : 2

(No idea where STR_DUNGEON_TITLE_0 is ... nor have I any idea how you can kill a resource such as Medium Hides  -- Please fix this.)

Bugs / Re: New Challenge system bug
« on: August 21, 2009, 02:11:02 AM »
When I log on I get system messages describing that I was challenged and the outcome and cash I've lost if I lost a challenge or won if I won a challenge while offline.
If I type anything in the chat box where the system messages show up, it's as if I made a new challenge to someone but I don't lose AP, but I may lose or gain fame or cash.
I have no way of preventing the battles I didn't choose to enter with other players.  I would like the choice to turn challenges on or off.  Being forced into a PVP fight is not right.

Mechanics / Opal Oak Shield
« on: August 21, 2009, 02:00:03 AM »
Most light shields at Tier 2 only take up 4 spaces in my backpack.  However, the Opal Oak Shield, which looks just like the Hardened Leather Shield takes up 6 spaces.  The graphic for it is either misleading or not the right graphic for the shield, because it makes it look just like the Hardened Leather Shield.

Please check on the item's space alotment.

Bugs / New Challenge system bug
« on: August 20, 2009, 07:13:10 PM »
The point of the arena was to make it possible for players who wanted to duel for fame and cash could travel to the Imperial City and fight anytime they wanted, or not go there if they wanted.

The new Challenge system forces fights on players who may not want to fight yet.  It also loots cash from them, too.  Imagine waking up to find 20 people have challenged you, your fame has dropped 300 points and your cash has been looted down to zero.  That is what will happen as the game continues the way it is set up now.

We should have the option to turn challenge on or off.  Watching this game degrade into the typical beatdown games we find elsewhere, where the top players/bullies have fame of 3000 while everyone else is farmed for fame and cash makes no sense.

I found all my house items and unpurchased auction items in my cache when I logged in.

Thank you to the programmers for correcting the cache problem, so that our items appeared there.   ;D

However, will I encounter the issue where all my house items end up in my cache again in 6-7 days as rent comes due again?  That is at the core of the bug.  I believe that our House items should stay in our House, in case we ever needed an extended vacation, so we don't lose them to the cache and find they disappear after 7 more days elapse while we are away.

Well, Beta version or no, the items stored in my home are logged by the admins, just in case something like this comes up.  So, they can be restored.

Any game version that asks people to spend real money on a game that isn't finished is liable for the consequences and should make good on the loss when it was not the fault of the player.  That is just good business sense.  I am not asking for anything more than what I had before my home's rent came due.  If the game changed over the weekend and moved the items to the cache, then I should be able to find them there.  My cache was empty.  Even items that were overflow from unpurchased auction stock didn't show up in my cache when I checked.  I can accept losing the few spirit potions that were in auction.  However, the expensive items I had been keeping safe in my home I want returned.

This game does not let someone pay their rent in advance.  So, there is no way to avoid having the game say your rent is owed.  Fixing this issue now will prevent several hundred follow-up requests like this later, when other players experience the same thing.

The rent on my home expired while I was away from the game for the weekend.  I received a system message saying my house items were being moved to my cache, when those items were just supposed to be locked my house.

When I checked my Hero's cache to find the items, my Cache was empty.  The house rent was due between 4-5 days ago.  The cache is supposed to hold my items for 168 hours (a.k.a. 7 days).  I'm very sure that 4-5 days is less than 7 days.

I want my items back.  I had saved some very expensive items that I purchased with diamonds.  I don't have to tell you that this is a make or break deal for membership to this game.  Losing real money on a game bug will definitely hurt business.

Repeat: I want my items returned to my home where they should still be.  They should never have moved to my cache.  According to the home description, unpaid rent locks those items from my use until rent is paid, which was paid within minutes of logging in with cash on hand.

Bugs / Heavy Shield bug
« on: August 08, 2009, 02:52:25 AM »
My warrior mercs usually wear heavy shields, because as warriors they wear any armor they want.  However, when I tried to switch one of my warrior merc's Bronze Plated Round Shield for an Agate Round Shield, it wouldn't let my warrior merc wear the new shield.

When I tried to put the old shield back on, it wouldn't let me do that either.  He wields a one-handed club, so that can't be it.  The items themselves are telling me that the shields aren't for his class.  How could any armor not be for a warrior's class?????  The shields are Tier 2 and my merc is also Tier 2, so he should be able to wear either one of them.

Please help!

Questions / Re: House
« on: August 05, 2009, 05:20:36 AM »
No, consider it property taxes.

In the real world, if you own a house, you pay yearly property taxes.

In this game, a year takes place in about 1 week, though your hero doesn't age and die off.

That your rent (100 gold) is 20% of your original purchase price (500 gold) is a bit steep.  However, if you pay 1000 gold for the first storage upgrade, then your total house value is 1500 gold and your rent is 196 gold.  So, your rent is 13% of the total value each year.  If you pay for the next storage upgrade of 3000 gold, the rent becomes an even smaller percentage of the total value.  It pays to upgrade and moving is very cheap, 100 gold ... and you save on relocation and moving expenses.  Note that cheap means, you can earn 100 gold pretty quickly from fighting in a dungeon, selling a crafted item or two to the shop, or on the market.

Bank interest is earned weekly, too.  (7% wow! that's much higher than we're getting in the real world.)

Yes, they are two different types of gloves.

Mechanics / Bronze Chainmail Gloves Recipe
« on: August 02, 2009, 11:34:12 PM »
I have the item in my inventory, but I can not learn the recipe.  The game says I already learned it.  However, when I check my Tier 3 recipes, the list does NOT show Bronze Chainmail Gloves.

It does show Bronze Plate Gloves and Bronze Plated Gloves, as well as Hard Leather Gloves.

Please help.

Bugs / Re: Biding for recipes
« on: July 11, 2009, 04:22:27 PM »
Well there's a similar bug in the auction now... When a starting bid price is posted, I can't bid that any more... so I have to bid 1 higher as the "starting"  or "first bid" on an item.

If I wanted to sell a potion for 1 diamond with a buy now of 3 diamonds... no one will even bid on it if they have to bid 2 diamonds as the first bid, when I offered it at 1 diamond.

Please fix this.

Texts / Missing Text from Tier 3 Plate Helmet
« on: July 02, 2009, 04:12:30 AM »
The Tier 3 Full Plate Helmet does not have any text in the title of the item.  It is blank.

I see 2 of these items in the auction right now, and neither have any text telling us what item it is, only text present is describing its attributes.

Mechanics / Quest goals are miscounting successes.

Quest goals miscounting.

I received a quest today to fight 8 Grey Wolves in Ever Sleep dungeon in Haroda's Main Land.

I first tried fighting them with a merc with me in the battles.  I fought 4 rounds then retreated.

Since the only enemies available are the Grey Wolf, I should have gotten credit for each of them.  So, I wondered if it had something to do with being the one to get the killing blow, when I got a count of only 2 of 8 completed.

So, I waited 8 hours and went back solo this time... I fought 10 of the Grey Wolves successfully over 4 rounds in the dungeon before retreating and my count only went up to 4 of 8.

How is it possible that I fight 4 battle missions in a dungeon, kill 10 of the target and need only 6 more and increase my quest count by only 2?

Please fix this.

I play as Marille in the game.
