I don't get it. What do you mean "my village"

by category you mean hero class or tier?
Hero class is chosen when you register and at level 15 you select a subclass.
Tier are level related.
tier 1 from level 1 to 9
tier 2 from level 10 to 19
tier 3 from level 20 to 29 etc.

Since this is at bugs I believe a screenshot of the problem could help us to understand what do you mean...

Just saw what you mean!
It is not a bug!
Hope village is tier 1 province!
Each province belongs to a tier.
Imperial City is no tier (since it hasn't any locations to battle)
Hope village is tier 1 province.
The other 3 location you are able to visit at your map is tier 2.
When you advance tier you will be able to visit even more locations!

Why there are tier divided the locations?
It has to do with the monster's level there!
You are able to fight any dungeon your tier and below except multi-stage dungeons. And you unable to fight at any dungeon with tier higher than yours!

So that means that you are able to fight at Hope Village but you are unable to fight the multi-stage dungeons there!*





*This needs to be clarified!
Once you enter a tier you are able to accept story line quests. (check and Imperial City tavern too!)
If you advance tier and you weren't able to beat a multi-stage dungeon you will be able to fight again and again there until you complete the step! But the reward will be altered.
As long you belong at multi-stage dungeon's tier you are able to fight there as much as you want! (for the loot mostly)
But once you advance tier this dungeon will be locked for you. (multi-stage dungeon and as long as you have complete story line's step)
