Well, there is no answer because no one can provide one!
The game you gave as example (haven't played) is based on entirely different philosophy!
At first "aq" is giving the player to choose his tactics during combat. And gives base at the graphics.
On the other hand "IH" is more about gearing up and prepare yourself to fight at an auto-fight environment.
The game developers want to keep the game's requirements low so everyone be able to play it. From work, home or any given pc.
Also the game's philosophy is not about the battle but what you do before the battle. How well you are prepared to fight. Even other players can challenge you or attack you during your off-line time... If you are not prepared good enough you will lose.
If you want a game where you control the fight in more turn based tactical and not in preparation tactical level, then this game will not satisfy you.
It's like comparing total war series with starcraft series... Both strategy games but there the similarities stop...
