Are you talking about splitting stacked resources like ore, wood or hides? You have always been able to split them. Simply drag the stack over to the scissors on the right hand side of your backpack, and a popup will ask you how many you want to split.

yes. I red post from march that "split" has preparing.
I thought scissors are for throw stuff away... bad understanding;-)

I'm glad that you now know what the scissors tool is for. It's very useful. There is NO tool to 'throw away' anything. The only way to dispose of items is to give it away in your guild stash, toss it into one of the NPC stores (which gives you money) or sell the items in the auction (which also gives you money).
