I put a lap top on "sleep" mode. Then I closed it. Now I opened the lap top and pressed the "turn on/off" button (which usually takes it out of the sleep mode. And I can hear it working (the fans and all the stuff that makes noises), but the screen is dead black... What should I do?

P.S: I read that removing the battery for an hour should fix the problem. I have to work out how to stop the machine before removing it now. Grrr...

Easy...
3 options.
1) You take your lap top and throw it at a bathtub full of water... this should make it stop working.
2) Press continues alt+F4 and enter.
3) Remove the cable and wait the battery to die...

I went for 3). These machines don't have a turn off/reboot button.

P.S: In case someone has the same problem- removing the battery after it was discharged solved my problem.
