merc dual wield

I bought new merc with that skill. but I cant equip him with javelin and dagger. why? its connected with another post here - still unanswered.

Maybe there is a general dual wield problem and it doesn't work at all for those who just hired merc/wanted to research the skill(see my post too http://forum.imperialhero.org/int/index.php?topic=6580.0).

PS: I know this post doesn't answer your question and I might be wrong too.

There have been some (devastating for my 6-set ideas) modifications. One of them states that ranger class units with the dual wield skill can equip only a two daggers (no other combinations). This applies for both heroes and mercs.

its true... I can equip 2 daggers. and maybe throwing knives too. its crap.

no. only daggers. its absolutely useless for rangers.
