To Bank or Not To Bank?

I would like to see the pros and cons about using the bank.  I know that the money does not earn interest and once there, it cannot be taken from you.  I would like to see both sides of the issue.

the good is: if you go to a dangereous province when you save the money there if they "assault" and they win they are not going to win money of you, but when you go to save money in the bank they "steal" but very little just 1%.
if you want to receive gold of the bank the rate is of 4% the maximum is of 20% the money you receive is from other players that save money

I personally tend to use the bank only when I go to dangerous provinces.
Which I think is going to be pretty common from now on...

I got interest every week some time ago when I had money in the bank....I mean vault or how is it now called
