It has to do smth with LOTR. Or atleast the small avatars look like the heroes from LOTR. However, the hooded NPCs remind me of those desert people in SW: The phantom menace.

Hint: There are three factions, one of which are the terrans. On the screenshot- a terran Dreadnaught heavy class ship which will soon lose his reactor halls... and hull integrity.

Hehe. The demo got me interested enough to find the full version. I wonder who is in charge of the dreadnought though. Entering a nebula with hostile monoliths and auroras around you is not a smart thing to do.
