Art / Pearl
« on: September 19, 2009, 08:01:09 PM »
The picture of the rough pearl is a jagged, translucent pink shard?

Expensive pearls start out round.  The more perfectly round, the more expensive.  They still need to be drilled to be part of a necklace, but they aren't cut like gems.  It just doesn't make any sense the way you're showing the rough pearl.  In addition, the crafting point(s) received is 1 - also suggesting that one doesn't gain much experience with the pearl.  Therefore, the obvious solution is to use the round pearl for both the "rough" gem and the "cut" gem, instead of using the strange shard of pink translucence.

All the best,

Currently reads:  Every hero start with 1200 Fame. You can win Fame when you defeat another hero at the Imperial Arena. Fame is awarded to hero only if he fights 1 vs. 1.

First sentence should read:  Every hero starts...

Fame is awarded to hero only if he fights 1 vs. 1.

Third sentence should read:  Fame is awarded to heroes only if they fight 1 vs. 1.

Or, if you want to keep it singular:  Fame is awarded to the hero only if he/she fights 1 vs. 1.

Mechanics / Dsitributing Skill Points - after Level 15
« on: August 05, 2009, 06:51:47 PM »
As I just increased my level - to 17, it showed that I had the opportunity to distribute 1 Skill Point in Basic Skills and 1 Skill Point to distribute in Ghost Stalker.  I then distributed my 1 skill point in Basic Skills and afterwards, both the total in skill points and ghost stalker points showed Zero!  So, my point is that it is very misleading to portray one point in each category without a disclaimer that says it's ACTUALLY one point for both (if that's the case).  Otherwise, there is a bug that for two levels now has only given me 1 point when it should have been 2.

Thanks!

Texts / Haroda Tavern Quests

A couple of word choice and grammatical issues would make the following sentences read a bit better:

Quest #1 Imperial City is making major reconstructions of several of its strategic military bases in Wondrous Caves. The army has requested additional 7 amount of Topaz. And, of course, they need those materials yesterday. The reward is good, if you lay a hand.

Should read:  Imperial City is making major renovations to several of its strategic military bases in Wondrous Caves. The army has requested an additional 7 Topaz Gems. And, of course, they need those materials yesterday. The reward is good, if you lend a hand.

Quest #2:  I hear you have a reputation of descent crafter. Let me tell you something, my friend. Words don’t impress me. Deeds do. So, if you are as half good as they say, it won’t be a problem for you to make me 5 of Crude Opal Ring, right? Now get to work and get back to me when you’re done.

Should be:  I hear you have a reputation of a decent crafter. Let me tell you something, my friend; words don’t impress me, deeds do. So, if you are half good as they say, it won’t be a problem for you to make me 5 of Crude Opal Ring, right? Now get to work and get back to me when you’re done.

Texts / Working in the Tavern for gold - part II
« on: July 29, 2009, 11:32:59 PM »
Oton,

My point is that information should be correct, both in content and form.  You and your team are obviously working very hard to produce the best possible experience and the statement, "You can work in the Tavern for wages in gold. The amount of gold you receive per hour equals to your level."  is correct neither in content, nor form.  If you want to avoid the issue entirely, why not just say, "You can work in the Tavern for wages in gold." and leave it at that?

Trying to be helpful, here.

Currently the text reads: "You can work in the Tavern for wages in gold. The amount of gold you receive per hour equals to your level. "

First, "equals to your level" should read, "equals your level."  HOWEVER, this does not seem to be correct, as I'm a level 15 and it offers me 20 gold per hour.  Thus, it seems to be the sum of ones action level, PLUS the levels ones achieved in crafting.  Thus, it seems it should read, "The amount of gold you receive per hour equals the total of your action and crafting levels."  Or something similar.

All the best,

DR

One aspect that I haven't seen addressed (and apologies in advance if it was - I searched) is that to use a Tier 3 Crafting Tool - I must be Tier 3 (through fighting).  This seems highly unusual as my use of a Crafting Tool should be inherently dependent upon my Crafting Tier - not the Tier that I've developed through experience I've gained fighting battles.  Since I didn't know this prior to purchasing a Tier 3 Crafting Tool - with bonuses for (of course) Crafting - I now have a Crafting Tool languishing in my inventory until I level up to 20.  This seems ridiculous to me.

Thanks,

Texts / Word choice in Haroda
« on: July 17, 2009, 02:58:41 AM »
First of all - Oton - great work on the auction!  Much better.

So, in "The Things People Need" (shop) in the village of Haroda, the word "heritage" is used.  The word should be "inheritance."

All the best.

Okay - you agree, Isolde - excellent!  What's the next step in filtering by class (Jeweler/Armorer/Carpenter/etc.)?  I've just "Browsed by Type" - Simple, Rare, Legendary, etc. - and the only category that even has any items in it is Simple - so currently, it's a completely meaningless filter (as the game advances, it will likely have more meaning).  However, in it's place, a Class Filter would be MUCH more useful at this time.  It's a waste of time for ALL of us who play the game to scroll through all the items that are not even relevant to our respective games and it seems like such a simple fix, though I'm not a programmer like the estimable Oton.

Thanks for the consideration!

Texts / Plain boar - spirit after death?
« on: July 08, 2009, 02:45:37 AM »
Okay, small technicality - but wouldn't any being have zero spirit after it were dead?  It has zero health, why not zero spirit?

Any spirit associated with a particular body would shake itself from its mortal coil and fly into the ether, leaving that body with nothing but cold, dead flesh.

Just a thought...

Texts / Quest from Haroda has some spelling and grammatical issues.
« on: July 08, 2009, 02:09:56 AM »
The original quest reads:

"I hear you have a reputation of descent crafter. Let me tell you something, my friend. Words don’t impress me. Deeds do. So, if you are as half good as they say, it won’t be a problem for you to make me 6 of Fine Impure Emerald Amulet, right? Now get to work and get back to me when you’re done."

The quest should read: ""I hear you have a reputation of a decent crafter.

The word is "decent" as opposed to "descent".

I'd also recommend:

So, if you are as half good as they say, it won’t be a problem for you to make me 6 Fine Impure Emerald Amulets, right?

[Deleting the "of" after the 6 and adding an "s" to make it plural.]

Aha!  Thank you for your help!  The crafting experience vs battle experience can be quite confusing for such a noob as myself.

Suggestions / Re: Auction (again) - filter
« on: July 05, 2009, 08:02:20 PM »
The auction is still rather cumbersome - I suggest refining the resource and recipe filters by craft as well - as a jeweller/stonecutter - I have zero interest in piles of wood, hides and ore, and I have to scroll through 15 pages of junk just to see if there is anything in my profession.  It's like searching for gems all over again, except instead of using AP, I waste 15 minutes of real time.  Also, the option to filter by class (mystic, ranger, etc.) would be helpful as if I'm only searching for armor for myself (as opposed to buying it for a merc), I don't care about other classes armor/weapons/etc.).

Thanks for your consideration!
